MARIA LEMOS
Maria Lemos is a London-born, Athens-raised fashion entrepreneur with more than 25 years of experience across wholesale, retail and brand communications. She began her career at Sonia Rykiel in Paris before becoming Sales Director at John Galliano and later working at Clements Ribeiro in London.
In 2002, she founded Rainbowwave, a multi-label sales showroom known for championing emerging talent. Over the years, it has represented brands including JW Anderson, Erdem, Gabriela Hearst and Re/Done, while also supporting the international growth of Greek labels such as Ancient Greek Sandals, Zeus + Dione and Ileana Makri. Today, Rainbowwave operates across London, New York and Paris as an independent fashion sales and communications agency.
In 2013, Maria founded Mouki Mou on London’s Chiltern Street, offering a curated selection of fashion, jewellery, beauty and objects with a focus on craftsmanship, quality and longevity. Mouki Mou Athens followed in 2023, with M.II, a menswear-focused store, opening in 2024.
Maria and her husband, Gregoris Kambouroglou, also created Pagostas, a three-room guesthouse in Patmos.
