ANNE IMHOF
Anne Imhof (b. 1978, Giessen, Germany) is an artist working across choreography, painting, performance, sculpture, drawing, music, installation, and film. Her works transform exhibition spaces into immersive environments where choreography, architecture, sound, and image converge, unfolding through movement, duration, and the shared experience of performers and audience. In 2022, the Financial Times named her among its 25 Most Influential Women. Imhof represented Germany at the 57th Venice Biennale in 2017 with FAUST, for which she was awarded the Golden Lion for Best National Participation. In 2025, DOOM: House of Hope, premiered at New York's Park Avenue Armory, inaugurated a new chapter in her practice introducing her work centred around dance choreography and ballet to a US audience.
