Born and raised in Athens, designer Christina Martini graduated from the prestigious Cordwainers College in 2000, with a BA [Hons] degree in Footwear design & production. She landed her first role as part of the footwear design team at Louis Vuitton, working under Marc Jacobs for six years. In 2008, she accepted the role of footwear designer, working alongside Nikolas Ghesquiere and Pierre Hardy. After moving back to Greece to start a family, Christina met her business partner, Nikolas Minoglou, and together they created Ancient Greek Sandals. This summer, after eight successful years in business, Ancient Greek Sandals opened their first flagship store in Athens.
